Tom Seabrook: From Record-Breaker to Rising Saint

When Tom Seabrook crossed the whitewash just 58 seconds into his Premiership debut for Gloucester Rugby in May 2018, few would have guessed they were witnessing history. The then 19-year-old not only introduced himself to the league in spectacular fashion – he also set a new record for the fastest try on debut in Premiership Rugby history. It was a moment that encapsulated what Seabrook had to offer: instinct, pace, and an eye for opportunity.

Born on March 15, 1999, and developed through the Gloucester academy system, Seabrook quickly earned a reputation as a dynamic and hardworking back, equally comfortable on the wing or at outside centre. His performances at youth level caught national attention, earning him a place in the England U20 squad for the 2018 World Rugby U20 Championship, where he played alongside future internationals and showcased his ability on a global stage.

At Gloucester, Seabrook developed under a system that emphasized physicality and attacking flair. While competition for places limited his starts at times, his versatility and reliability kept him firmly in the squad’s plans across multiple seasons. In 2023, Seabrook made a significant career move, signing with Northampton Saints. The transfer offered a fresh environment and a new style of play – one that emphasized tempo, creativity, and ball movement.

For Seabrook, it was an ideal fit. Since joining the Saints, he has steadily worked his way into the matchday squad, bringing experience and energy to a backline already stacked with talent. Though not always the headline name, his consistency and adaptability have made him a valuable asset to the club's ambitions in both the Premiership and European competitions.

Still only in his mid-20s, Tom Seabrook's story is far from over. He remains a player with untapped potential – a one-time record-breaker now striving to become a mainstay in one of English rugby’s most exciting teams.
