Fleet footed centre forward Paul Conner has been another pre-season rumour around the Darlington fans, but today gaffer David Hodgson has denied any suggestions linking the player with a move to the club. Darlington manager David Hodgson has today played down rumours linking Swansea's Paul Connor with a move to the Williamson Motors Stadium.

Hodgson has stated that he thought the player had been released by the Welsh club, however this was not the case and Swans would be reluctant to let the forward go without a transfer fee.

Conner's tally amounted to thirteen goals last season, proving a great aid in Swanseas promotion campaign.
