Darlington fans finally believe that this could be the year in which their team step up the heat. Following last season's decent overall performance, fans will be hoping the Quakers can build upon it and gun for promotion in the coming 2005/06 campaign. There is a firm belief between Darlington supporters that, if the right signings can be made and the correct tactics can be discovered, their team should be a potent threat to the Coca-Cola League 2 Championship next season.

What with the signing of Sam Aistion and the contract renewal of star defender, Matt Clarke, going down well with the fans, there appears to be many positive vibes surrounding the club.

Several bookmakers have placed Darlington at short odds for the League 2 title, hopefully the team can live up to expectations and give themselves, and the fans, a season to remember.
