Goalkeeper, Lee Kendall has left Ninian Park, and signed a 2-year contract with Division Three outfit, Shrewsbury Town. Kendall had impressed Shrews manager Kevin Ratcliffe during his trial period and has now signed a permanent deal with the club. Cardiff's 3rd choice 'keeper, Lee Kendall has left the Bluebirds for third division side, Shrewsbury Town., after having an impressive trial period with the Shrews.

Kendall will officially sign for Shrewsbury during the coming week, after he has sorted things out with Cardiff City.

Kevin Ratcliffe seems pleased to have signed Kendall saying, "He is a good keeper and will push Ian Dunbavin all the way for the number 1 spot, and that is good for Ian and good for the team"

Kendall signed for Cardiff late in 2000 from Crystal Palace for a fee of £50,000, but he never managed to break into the first team making just one full appearance for the Bluebirds which was in the LDV Vans Trophy last season when Cardiff hammered Rushden 7-1.

Best of luck to Lee with his future career.
