With Cardiff City in their highest league position for 35 years you would have thought the crowds would be flocking to watch them, but the last two "gates" have been very poor and the club are now just in the top 50 best supported teams in the UK. What is the problem? Why bother with a new stadium? Five years ago Sam took over the club, and made some wild promises. However and in his defence we are higher up the League than in any time since my first game in the mid 70's. But the claims that we are bigger than Barcelona and that the whole of Wales would support us is looking laughable. The crowds were higher in the dungeon than we are getting for some games now, and I for one don't buy the football is finished argument. Let us look at the latest crowds and we'll see some surprising teams getting far more than us....
