India A will play a tri-series of "ODIs" against the hosts and Australia A.  India A will also play two "Tests" against the hosts.  The limited overs side is led by Manish Pandey and the first class side will be led by recent Test triple centurion Karun Nair.  

The All-India Senior Selection Committee met earlier today to select the India ‘A’ teams for the upcoming India ‘A’ tour of South Africa, 2017. India ‘A’ will play a one-day tri-series involving Australia ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ followed by two four-day matches against the hosts.
The teams are as follows -
One-day Team -
Mandeep Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Manish Pandey (Captain), Deepak Hooda, Karun Nair, Krunal Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Vijay Shankar, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jayant Yadav, Basil Thampi, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Siddarth Kaul.

Test Team -
PK Panchal, Abhinav Mukund, Shreyas Iyer, Ankit Bawne, Karun Nair (Captain), Sudip Chatterjee, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hanuma Vihari, Jayant Yadav, Shahbaz Nadeem, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Aniket Choudhary, Ankit Rajpoot.

If this was happening in India you can bet the likes of cricinfo would be blasting BCCI but they are MUTE here...

True. What is surprising is that Indian writers also play ball with Cricinfo.

In any case, pay dispute in Australian set up is surprising. They call themselves first world after all.

The David Warners and Steve Smiths can take on Cricket Australia on the back of the FAT pay packages they have gotten from IPL...

They know that even if CA doesn't immediately play ball...they eventually will have to...

Kerry Packer was the first to pay INTERNATIONAL level cricketers more than minimal wages... but the pay really started rising with the money Dalmiya and BCCI brought into the international game...

In John Wright's book, he talks about retiring from FC cricket and taking a job at the NZ equivalent of Home Depot...with his colleagues kids who were high school grads or at the most have done a bit of community college...

The pay also was commensurate... i.e. just a step or two above minimum wage

Apparently Afghanistan A has been roped in to play instead of Australia A. Well it is to the benefit of all, especially the Afghanis...and to the LOSS of Australia...whose board are acting like petty and greedy dictators...
