And so the sun rises, roses bloom and we all drink Pepsi. Life goes on... Speaking of Pepsi, the Indian team against Sri Lanka resembled that, full of bubbles till you open the bottle. I have found out the reason for India's dismal performance. Blame it on Vastu. I believe before the WC started Mr. Venkateshwara Vastrulu, the inhouse Vastu expert with the BCCI, had told each and every member of the team that when they visit the throne they were supposed to sit facing the water tank and not the other way around. Not many followed this. This shows that the Indian team cannot take a simple instruction and carry it forward as a group. Therein lies the answer.

Sri Lanka are looking as if they will reach the semis. Someone seems to put up the hands when needed and the old warhorses of Murali, Sanath, Vaas sure put up a fight. Good luck guys.

The Indian innings was a good lesson in crack under pressure. Robin Uthappam walks around with a constipated look, and I guess he tried to clear himself by taking on Vaas. Robin my friend, Vaas is one of the canniest bowlers in the world, you show respect, if not he will mouth you more than you can imagine.

Sourav needs Viagra, he is having trouble getting it up and away, I mean his shots have trouble clearing the infield. He is a pale shadow of his former avatar and for all the stats people throw up, it was a bad decision to bring him back. Sehwag is a good guide. He is getting good at guiding the balls onto his stumps on onto the fielders safe hands.

Sachin, maybe it's time to become a bowler, that way you can learn to see how in-dippers work and then maybe you will see how you can play it out with the bat. If nothing works then club Abdur Razak for discovering that you cannot play in-dippers.

Yuvi is a showboat. He dives for balls that need not be, and here ran for something that didn't exist. Dhoni, my man(e)! To change the results my belief is similar to most of you: bring in fresh minds, young legs -- legs that can run the BCCI better, minds that cannot think impossible. Legs that can hunt down hares, minds which will not say 'nay'. Legs that will play the game because they love to play, minds that dream because they want to. Legs that look up and say we have done our best, minds that will say -- not yet, the best is yet to come.
