Sir Alex Fergusson and his Manchester United team must be shaking in their boots at the prospect of the Fourth Round FA Cup tie at Molineux next week after Wolves recent form continued away at Millwall.

Obviously we're being sarcastic. In truth the prospect of Manchester United visiting Molineux next week is a daunting one and another performance like the one at the New Den today could see Wolves embarrassed live on SKY TV.

Wolves failed to inspire against a poor Millwall side and despite having 60% of possession Wolves could manage just five attempts at goal, with just three of those on target and all of them coming from Wolves skipper Paul Ince from range.

Despite just having 40% of possession Millwall managed seven attempts and could have won it, with the only real save of the game coming from Stefan Postma after a Mark Kennedy mistake shortly before half time.

"The draws are killing us. We have got to start turning these games into wins." Glenn Hoddle said...again.

"We adjusted things in the second period and brought on Lee Naylor - we dominated from then on but we didn't have the craft in the final third. We got into some smashing positions but we didn't pick out the right person when we got there.

  "Davies had the best chance and should have scored. But he panicked and froze a bit. He's a young lad and he'll learn from that. A draw was a fair result. We didn't do enough - especially in the first-half."

Kenny Miller returned to the squad after missing last weeks game through suspension. Tom Huddleston has returned to Spurs and did not feature whilst Gabor Gyepes was not even included in the squad.

Millwall started the brighter but were unable to create any real chances. Slowly Wolves took control of the game, but the imagination and skill in the final third of the pitch was non existent. The closest Wolves came to opening the scoring was a deflected Mark Kennedy free kick which looped up into the air and landed on the top of the bar.

Stefan Postma made a good save shortly before half time after a mistake from Mark Kennedy but the first half was to end goalless.

If the first half was poor, then the second was worse. Paul Ince was the only man to test Marshall in the Millwall goal but his long range efforts were all dealt with by the former Wolves goalkeeper. Wolves dominance showed in the latter stages of the game in the form of a flurry of  corners but the quality was still lacking and the end result was probably a fair one.
