Another defeat at the Vitality Stadium at the weekend means Wolves are still looking for their first win against a Premier League side. Tonight, at Molineux, Wolves face West Ham United for a place in the League Cup third round. It is ironic that both the Hammers and ourselves occupy positions 19th and 20th in the Premier League with both sides still are looking for the winning feeling. It is of little consolation that wolves sit19th position, saved from the bottom due to the ineptitude of the West Ham defence. The question is tonight can Wolves score against that defence?  

Of course the other question tonight is what side will Vitor Pereira pick? In the FA Cup last season Vito preferred a stable and experienced side, yet so early on in the season, what priority will Vitor offer the League Cup? Whatever his and out thoughts, it remains one of two competitions we could reasonably expect to advance in.

On Saturday versus Bournemouth, the side selected wasn’t a great shock except perhaps theinclusion of Bellegarde instead of Andre which drew some question marks. Nevertheless it was individual errors in defence and a lack of a clinical cutting edge which led to another defeat. Additionally we lostTotiwith his automatic red following his desperate challenge on the advancing Bournemouth striker. So that's one player will be without this evening!

Ex Albion Graham Potter, is under massive pressure and the West Ham supporters are sure to target this competition for progression. What can our Wolves side do to stem the aspirations of the London team who have let in eight goals in two Premier League matches? Well, let's hope we can score a goal! Whatever the situation or the side picked good luck to the lads tonight.

The game is covered on television tonight with a 7:30 PM kick-off. I have the fortune or miss fortune (whichever way you look at it) to be watching this on telly down the pub. In the usual way enjoy the match, as best as possible, let's hope for a win and please leave your comments in the match thread below.

Sorry to disagree Ivy but West ham fans won't prioritise this cup as the article suggests, it will be reserves of both teams battling it out as usual. It's a tinpot cup and needs scrapping IMO

Still there to be won Angry. If they get rid, that’ll be one trophy we’ll be chasing. And I don’t think Hammers fans will want another defeat any more than we do, except if they want to get rid of Potter, that is.

You wait for a goal then three come along together. West Ham put out a strong side and I didn't think we were that good in the first half and Johnstone had to make a couple of smart saves. To be fair to Hwang I believe his grandfather died earlier but I suppose he gets an assist. Good finish from Rodrigo. Better in the second half especially when the subs were made. Again two good finishes from Larsen particularly the first which he has reacted quickly to and hit it off balance. I like the look of Tchatchoua so far. Still not convinced by Agbadou as yet this season, lost his man for their second goal. Wembley here we come.

Wembley Andy? That’s what I like to hear!
Overall I thought it was a decent performance but Vitor will be pulling some of his beard out with the defending and marking for both the Hammers goals.
Nevertheless we showed resilience when needed and scored three good goals. The Rodrigo effort was very sharp, great finish as was Larsens first in a similar style. The third followed an attacking passage and a lovely cross and a great near post header.
I’m not going to lie though, I felt we were more than up against it when we went 2-1 down. Ideal substitutions.
Three goals!!! Yes three goals!!
Good win.
