This thread is to confirm that the Prediction League for the Molineux Way continues for 2024/2025. Read below for the general rules and how things will be managed.   As many will know, this is the first year I will be running the prediction league. I aim to maintain fixture dates, times and updates as well as final scores in a timely fashion, hopefully emulate how it was run before by Chesh, nevertheless please look at the details I have uploaded. Initially the first 3 matches have been imputted but they will be added to in plenty of time.

Fixtures are always up for constant change with European matches and television screening etc, so if you see anything that requires updating, then please let me know either by a private message (preferred as I will receive an email) or on this thread.

The rules have not changed in any way. 3 points for a correct full time score line and 1 point for predicting the correct outcome (win, lose or draw) which is a scoring system across Sportsnetwork.

Predictions can be made up to the point of kick off as defined in the prediction league itself.

Eligible matches will include all Wolves premier league fixtures, Wolves FA cup matches and Wolves league cup (EFL) matches. For cup matches, extra time / penalties are not included, that is the correct score will be the result at the end of 90 minutes - as has been the case previously.

Great first weekend start for Sheffield and Andy Pandy, correctly predicting 2-0.

I've uploaded the EFL Cup match with Burnley for predictions, the fixture date is 28th August but the KO is still TBC and I will update when known.

If you like putting you predictions up in advance, I've entered in all the fixtures for the rest of 2024. Fill your boots!! The result v Palace is now included in the league, not sure it made all that much difference to the standings!

Just to let you know I’ve inputted all of the seasons fixtures, including the Ashton Gate cup tie. Fixtures beyond February are subject to alteration which I will monitor, though would be pleased for feedback if you spot anything is incorrect.

Forest match on 6th January

I had got the fixture wrong for this match,incorrectly inputting Forest as the home team. I’ve put it right now, however if you have already made your prediction, please check it is still the scoreline you wanted - I doubt the system will have altered that

..... also, as the Bristol City match will go to ET and penalties on Saturday, if required, the result at the end of the standard 90 minutes play will be taken as the score for the prediction league.

Going into the final week of the season, the prediction could be won tomorrow night at Selhurst Park! Andy is on 36 points, whilst Essington is on 32.

With 3 points for a correct score line, can Essington take it into the final day or will Andy get the title?
