After their exhilarating win over Manchester City on Friday evening, Wolves face an even bigger challenge this afternoon with a trip to the runaway League leaders Liverpool
Above all else this afternoon Head Coach Nuno Espirito Santo will surely be hoping that his team will 'compete' against Liverpool, as this is his watchword about his team during interviews. Wolves face the challenge of being the last team this year to have a chance of beating Liverpool for the first time this season, and restoring themelves to 5th place in the League.
Considering this is first team's second game in less then 45 hours - something which few fans can see any sense in - it is expected that Nuno will make some changes to the starting eleven, however he is an unpredictable manager, and may prefer to stick with the team that has been so successful in their last two games.
The game will be screened live as part of Sky TV's Super Sunday programme with a 4:30 pm kick off, and our referee will be Anthony Taylor. This board will carry a commentary and members are encouraged to post their observations for the benefit of those unable to follow the game.

Mmm... hope he's not decided to not contest this.. mind you, I don't know that much about some of the players he's chosen. "In Nuno we trust" ??
Of course it's always possible Nuno doesn't see us getting much from this game and wants to rest part of our strike force for the game at Watford on Wednesday which doesn't look like being an easy venture now that Nigel Pearson is having an impact there!
Well I bow to Nuno's expertise 😊 but I'm sure the new ones will want to impress, so let's see how it goes! UTW!

First goal attempt to L'pool as Salah puts Alexander-Arnold's cross just over the bar. First let-off!
Wolves well organised and holding their own for first 12 minutes, but L'pool always loooking dangerous

Most of L'pool's threat is coming down the right wing & involving Alexander- Arnold, but Kilman & Coady are coping well so far. Salah very much involved as expected. Ryan Bennett does well to block a shot from Sane then Firminho heads wide from corner

If I offend anyone I do not apologize for it but if there is anyone who still thinks VAR is a good idea then you are a mutant who shouldn't be walking around without your carer.
Its a crying shame to see the game ruined by the b*astards destroyed the sport with goals being disallowed due to a hand being offside. We cant celebrate goals anymore, the hand being offside had no impact on a perfectly legitimate goal. My account on here is closed down but regardless, I shall take up a new hobby away from football as its now become a complete and utter farce.
Technology is ruining a fabulous game, I can fully sympathise with Nuno.
VAR has removed the heart and subsequently the enjoyment of the game and the sooner it is binned the better. Or let’s do away with the ref and just rely on laser images on the pitch with buzzers and bells for every incident, players would of course have to wear trackers.

Well, the lads will be seething - so let's hope that manifests itself on the pitch in the second half. I think we're doing great after 44 hours break. They are all heroes in my book!

Wolves have made a bright start to second half. Nuno was shown a yellow card in all the VAR carry on surrounding our 'goal'
Nuno gets a yellow card - the game is becoming a farce - my old dad would be turning in his grave!!
It strikes me that all fans in the grounds affected by these ridiculous VAR decisions are unanimously singing "It's not football any more". Let's hope someone takes notice of them.

Incidentally its not just the VAR , its implementation of it. Anyone with half a working brain cell would give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking player and not rule a goal out due to a hand being inches past the last defender. The same applies to encroachment with a players foot in the pen area with a spot kick, overly zealous decisions have taken over from common sense and VAR is supposedly only used in the event of a clear and obvious error bbut is being abused by thick c*nts that can't utilise common sense

SO bloody annoying to lose to a machine. Proud of the way they played though - UTW
So proud of our team. They just never give up and Liverpool were on the rack for most of the second half. How many points has VAR cost us this season? Get rid of the technology and rely on the officials, far more organic and enjoyable or we might as well just play FM2020.
@#$%& seething. Liverpool were the ones hanging on in the end and wanted the final whistle (see Klopp looking at his watch). It sounds as though the handball for Liverpool's goal wasn't Lallana but van Dijk in the build up which wasn't even checked.
The offside for the Wolves goal could not have been clear and obvious and anyway the advantage was supposed to be given to the attacker and even then, what advantage he gained with his right knacker, or whatever it was, being offside is beyond me.
The best team lost and we were robbed by a @#$%& idiot using @#$%& VAR which should be dumped. It wont be of course because the people in control are too thick and pig headed to admit they made a mistake in implementing it. It's as if they want to ruin the game.
It was supposed to finish controversy but all it's done is cause more @#$%& controversy.
Stick it in the nearest skip together with any @#$%& nimrod who still thinks it's a good idea.

For what it’s worth I have emailed the FA berating VAR on all the usual topics, fractures the game, undermines the officials, petty, not in the nature of the game etc etc.
Anyone who wishes to do the same feel free, or start a Facebook campaign.
Probably won’t come to anything but I feel better for doing it.
