Wolves fans will be desperate to see their team inflict another defeat on Watford and pick up their first win of the season today at Molineux.
In what many will consider to be a six-pointer match between the Premiership's bottom two teams, Wolves fans will hope their team can be as emphatic against Watford as Manchester City were in their 8 - 0 demolition of them last week. However Wolves are struggling to score goals this season, particularly their main striker Raul Jiminez, so perhaps a 1 - 0 victory will be very acceptable too!! Following their hard won Carabao Cup victory over Reading midweek Nuno Espirito Santo will be expected to ring the changes in line-up again, but it will be interesting to see whether he returns to the 'normal' back three or sticks with the line-up which featured at Crystal Palace last Sunday. Patrick Cutrone was hobbling for the last ten minutes of Wednesday's game so he perhaps will miss todays's match.
It is hoped that this board will carry a commentary for today's game for those unable to otherwise follow it, and members are encouraged to post their observations for the benefit of others.

Long injury spell for Saiss who looked spaced

Nothing much is happening is it? We look comfortable, they look short of ideas. Happy for it to stay that way.
Handball shout goes begging for a Wolves penalty, would have been so harsh.
Additionally, maybe predictable and understandable but lots of empty Watford seats today ... as well as 2 that I know of in the North Bank

Just thought I'd make a quick point to those it seems to have eluded, Nuno has switched back to 3-4-3 for the last few games and so Traore was playing wide forward, not centre forward as has been suggested, and Neto was also playing wide forward.

It hasn't eluded anyone as not a single person on the thread has mentioned "centre forward"... wide forward, narrow forward, fat forward, thin forward what's it matter? A striker is a striker and he was playing upfront unless I was watching a completely different game. "Forwards" often drift out wide but I maintain for a supposed right back to now be looking for goals as a wide/narrow/long/short/deep/shallow/ man in the hole/ target man/defensive/ poacher/ trequartister/false nine forward is very strange and highlights a lack of depth in our attacking options. As has already been stated, none of our narrow /wide etc etc "forwards" scored needing a right back/narrow back/inverted fullback/complete wingback wide back / quarterback for the sanfancisco 49ers ( take your pick) to score and an own goal.

He isn't being played as a striker though, he's playing as a winger, as is Neto. Traore is a winger, whether that be a wing back or a winger in the forward sense. We played with one striker, Raul. When we play two up front, we play with two strikers. Traore was in his natural position yesterday, and it showed, he played well (as he has done all season, as it happens).

A striker as defined by the Collins dictionary "In football and some other team sports, a striker is a player who mainly attacks and scores goals, rather than defends" ...he is there to add to our attacking options so be as pedantic as you like. He was played in a position to score goals having been played as a defensive player the week before- I find that very strange.

It was said on NBC, that Jota was out injured with his big toe injury of some sort...
Neto is a great player and for only 19 years old... looks promising; or am I putting a curse on the lad?
Does the own goal still count as a MGW assist?
It says on one football app that Neto is a striker, I thought he was a midfielder? Concur?
That said according to the app we have; 3 Keeps, 9 defenders, 10 midfielders, 4 attackers! ✌️

Its clear he is seen as a striker - directly from the horses mouth unless you think nuno and the player are lying regardless of how wide he is playing. If it makes you feel better to see him as a fairy on top of a xmas tree formation playing wide as a "utility player " fair enough [www.clubcall.com]

Sorry to get involved but IMO the Spanish Adama Traore, is most definitely not a defender!😬✌️

Maisey the fact you are getting so worked up on what a player is called winger/striker is hilarious , he said himself he is a striker at times lol yet you're still determined to argue the point- infact your only contribution to the thread was to accuse people of saying he was a " centre forward " which is complete nonsense but you cant admit you made a mistake

You seem unable to grasp the simple concept of a centre forward being different to a striker with the year not being 1985 where we have the traditional centre forward lurking in the box as a target man and a "big un/little un" waiting. Strikers can be utilised in more positions than a "centre forward" which by definition operates in the centre contrary to a trequartister for eg who can play either as a striker or midfielder but is never in a million years a " centre forward". An inside forward can play out wide drifting inside from the flanks can play as a "striker" but isn't a " centre forward " .
You stated the thread implied people were stating Traore was playing as a centre forward when no one suggested such a thing. After realising your mistake you are backtracking to using the striker term unable to grasp the difference between a striker and a centre forward confirming you are utterly clueless.
As far as your point regarding "going to games", whether people on here attend Molineux or not is quite frankly irrelevant and none of your business. I live a 7 hour round trip from the ground with many living even further afield - people have more going on in their lives than claiming the tag of being the metaphorical superfan attending week in week out. I have had two decades of season tickets at wolves … so what? I'd be more concerned about your own lack of knowledge in the game where you are unable to differentiate between a centre forward and other positions which are deemed to be offensive illustrating you are spouting utter rubbish. Thank you for clarifying Traore wasn't playing centre forward when no one has said he was Maisey- perhaps a trip to specsavers may be in order so you can actually read what was posted which I will visit myself after the "wrong Traore " link was posted.
