Shall we do it again??
As the new season rapidly approaches and we look forward to the prospect of Premeir League football returning to Molineux, I would like to establish what apetite there is for another Prediction League competition? The League was well supported last season with 15 participants, and Lupinehowler running out as the eventual winner. Essington Wolf has already stated his intent to regain his crown, but before undertaking the lengthy piece of work involved, and then maintaing the league throughout the season - which I am very happy to do - I would like to be reassured that the effort will be worthwhile. So please confirm your interest. Many thanks.

As form is temporary and class is permanent, then yes I’ll be more than happy to enter in an attempt to regain my title.

Yea. Thanks Ches . I put Man city in at 1-1. What a match; unbeleivable. In times to come, maybe not too far in the future, they will all fear the trip to Wolverhampton again.

Please note folks I have added Tuesday's home game against Leicester in the Carabao Cup to the League.
The League has been updated and Chicago still leads the chasing pack. It would appear that most of us are struggling to predict results accurately. Sadly our previous winner Ivybridge Wolf is testing his strength by holding the rest of us up, although I am only one place above him!!

Many thanks for the heads-up Ivy. I have made the alterations although not sure why we're kicking off with Spurs at 7:45pm on a Saturday??

The Prediction League has been updated for the last two games, and it seems to me that both results took most of us by surprise!!
The Prediction League has been updated for the last two games, which once again appear to have taken us all by surprise, so there is no movement evident in the table. I will add the FA Cup draw against Liverpool when we have a definite date.
The first time this season I predict us to los.... and we bloody beat Chelsea!!! Still who cares eh Ivy?!?!
I predicted 0-1. Curses Jiminez and Jota, they’ve done me down grrrrr!
The home game against Liverpool on 7th January has now been added to the Prediction League. It will also be televised on the BBC. Hopefully MGW will play and Danny Murphy will be there to watch in awe!!!

Is anyone else having trouble getting the prediction league? I haven't been able to get it for a couple of days now. I click on it but just get a blank screen.
I'm sorry if you have been having problems with it lads. I have just gone on to it without any problem. I have also updated it with the last two results. If the problem persists please let me know & I'll contact Sportnetwork

Good to see it's back up however there appears to be virus in the program - for some reason it has me third bottom on 6 points

I hope I remember this time as I forgot to put in my prediction for the Leicester match. I must admit I wasn't going to predict 4-3 but my forgetfulness did cost me a point.

It can be whatever everyone is happy with Andy. What do you suggest. Personally I would think after extra time, but excluding penalties would be the actual result.
At the end of the match is what I suggest (whether that is after 90 or 120 minutes) but excluding penalties!
Ok. Now it gets tricky because some have already predicted. Definitely exclude penalties but I was thinking at the end of 90 mins. We will have to decide soon as there is only one day to go.
OK Andy seeing as you raised it - I must admit it hadn't crossed my mind - and bearing in mind some have already made predictions we will go with the result as it stands after 90 minutes.

The Prediction League has been updated to take into account the results of Bristol, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Huddersfield games, and has made very little difference in truth. Too many draws and an unexpected defeat I guess. I still can't get it right for the life of me!!

Andy Fincher has let things slip at the top and been overtaken by another former winner Essington Wolf.
For the first time this season I managed to do two things. I correctly predicted the Man Utd result AND posted it!! It hasn't got me far up the table but thought I'd mention it anyway!!

I have updated the League and Essington Wolf has firmly established himself st the top with Andy Fincher alarmingly slipping to 4th position!!
Please note I have added Sunday’s semi final with Watford - sorry this is a bit last minute - and the result after 90 minutes will be what matters.

League has been updated folks following the Watford and Southampton games. Essington Wolf is hanging on to top spot, but Andy Fincher has inched his way back to 3rd with Meditate today keeping them apart.

The Prediction League has been updated to take into account the results against Brighton and Arsenal. This has made it even more interesting at the top, with only two points separating the top four players, and ChicagoWolf is only two points behind them.

I can't see the side panel at the moment which contains the Prediction League, so cannot make a prediction. If this is affecting anyone else I can only apologise but I'm not in a position to do anything about it, particularly at this late stage
Just to keep you up to date I have reported this to Sportnetwork as it is unresolved this morning, and hopefully they will be able to sort it quickly.

Unfortunately I haven't been on the board much this week so wasn't aware it was back up, but pleased it is in time for tomorrow's game. All to play for between Essington, Meditate and Andy F. Good luck guys
Well folks yesterday's match brings this year's competition to an end and I'm pleased to announce that Essington Wolf has won the 2018-19 Molineux Way Prediction League. I'm sure this is not the first win for him but can't be sure how long ago the last was, but Congratulations to him all the same. He won by one point from Meditate Today - whoever that is, one of those names which only appears on there, although has done so all season!! Having led the board for much of the season Andy Fincher came in third.
My thanks to those who took part and I hope it will be worth repeating for next season

Cheers Cheshire I think I finished top a couple of seasons ago and finished 2nd Last season so not a bad record if I say so myself! Champions league standard! I will be back next season to see if I can do a manchester city! It's been a wonderful season for the wolves long may it continue,the good times are back for sure and about time we have waited long enough.anyway till next season hope everyone on here has a great summer.
My own effort petered out miserably but that's no-one's fault but my own. Congrats to Essington Wolf.
