Seen it before but Henry just took the ball in the left wing position, 5 yards into the QPR half, he looked to get forward however the only players in front of him were 5 QPR defenders. That really sums us up.

I disagree, i don't think it was a penalty the ball took a deflection and his arm stayed by the side of his body. You can't rely on penalties anyway plus there is no guarantee that we would have scored from it had it been given.

You cant give pens for that otherwise it makes a mockery out of the sport

His arm may have moved but you can't say it didn't move towards the ball. Even if hisarm ddidn't move the ball would still have hit it, like angry says it that was given thenit makes a mockery of the whole game and you could/would end up with endless penalties every game.

On the great pen debate (!), I disagree Wilko, I think the ball could have passed the lads arm had he not moved it towards the ball. On the counter, as you say it was relatively close range and deflected. As I said, I've seen them given - without doubt - however the ref day give it, but I've certainly seen greater travesties of footballing (in)justice.

Regardless, over the 90 we didn't do enough to win it.

It was a turgid performance from QPR and laughable people were screaming for jimmy to replace Jackett as manager when wolves outwitted them for most of the second half. 1 win in 9 for hasselbank probably sacked at the end of the season if not before

If it's the first penalty shout that's being discussed where it hits the central defender then it was clearly a penalty, he leans towards it with his arm out and knows exactly what he's doing. The 2nd one where Perch is near enough on the floor and the ball is smashed at his arm isn't a handball. Actually I think they are both excellent examples of what is and what isn't a deliberate handball.

Given the start and the lack of any recognised players this was a decent point for us.

I think we can safely say that Jimmy Floyd wasn't the answer though, so we were better off sticking with Jackett during his poor run a few weeks back. I listened to him after the game and he spoke nonsense, talked about Polter being a traditional English type centre forward and how he likes his teams to get plenty of crosses and shots in, pretty basic stuff. But of course he's Dutch so was going to go in and get them playing beautiful football but judging by the 3 times I've seen QPR they just hoof it with very little football through the middle.

Many fans seem to want a manager who talks a good game though, so I put forward Karl Robinson from MK Dons, I listened to him a few weeks ago when we played Brighton and this fella spoke confidently and made total sense everytime he spoke. In fact if you didn't know his record with MK Dons was bang average you'd think he was quite succesful in the game. I'm sure he'd have us all nodding in agreement with him for the first few months of his reign as we continued to scrape a few wins together here and there.

Well at this stage there is no greater bullsh1ter in the game than Kenny (we need signings / we don't need signings) Jackett.
We will finish as most people on here predicted,,, mid table in what has been a snoozefest of a season. Lets just hope some 2nd rate club like Millwall or Walsall offers Potato Jacket a job at the end of the season.
I only listen to him now for a laugh, he is up there with some of the posters on The Mol Mix.

I still don't think it should have been a penalty, but i will leave it at that and we will have to agree to disagree on it and i could quite easily argue my point all night on that decision and we will still get nowhere.

I do agree about Hasselbaink though and it just goes to show how being a 'name' and having the press and media constantly talking about you enhances your reputation. It also shows how many people believe all the media hype and that everything they say is 100% true. We have said it many times on here this season on many different topics but too many people just believe every word the press say. You also have to factor in that Burton also did well before he took the helm, under Rowett and are also doing well now under Clough, all be it they lost today to Shrewsbury, but they are still joint top with 2 games in hand.

I also have liked Karl Robinson and in League 1 i was impressed with how MK Dons went about their business and played the game. Again he comes across well and speaks a good game, but that is what Sky want on their coverage - someone who knows their stuff and is confident in front of the camera, you don't want some boring miserable @#$%& on TV who doesn't know what they are talking about. But his he really that much different to Jackett as i remember him being on Sky before talking a good game in a very eloquent manner.

AT - it's as easy to say that we should have dispensed with KJ.

JFH will prove to be a better medium term option for QPR than KJ ever will be for Wolves.

There's no evidence of that at all, infact all the evidence points to the contrary. As discussed earlier , you're falling into the trap of believing the "dutch hype" or someone that was a decent player will transform into a decent manager when the links between the two are tenuous. There is nothing on Hasselbanks cv to suggest anything positive unless you are counting a few games for Burton which is a weak argument to say the least at an insanely low level. Jackett may be sooty with the two Ms hand up his ar.se at press conference but winning league one albeit with a bigger budget coupled with last seasons points tally eclipses anything Hasselbank has ever done or likely to do IMO. I was watching his post match interview and agree with AT .. he was talking absolute bilge.

The easiest thing to do would be to sack Jackett, any owner can do it, it's coming up with a better replacement that's the difficult part for Morgan. McCarthy & Solbakken were sacked, you can't really argue with those decisions, results and performances deserved it but look at the two clowns that were brought in to replace them. I suppose you can make the case for sacking Jackett and to be honest the league position is about right for our budget but yeah the performances have been poor, letting Reading and Brighton recently just bombard our box for the whole of the 2nd half was embarrassing to see. But with the possibility of his replacement being the same standard as Connor & Saunders or worse, I'd keep him and that's my main reason for saying it, not that he'll eventually take us up.

AT again it comes back to what we have been discussing most of the season on here. I have been saying for weeks (probably even a 2-3 months now) that there are footballing reasons for him to go. However with the instability off the pitch at the club the club needs some stability and at present the best way of providing that stability is to stick with the manager. We are pretty much certain to be safe from relegation and nor will we make the play-offs so why get rid of him just for the sake of it? The transfer window is only open for another week, so say we sacked Jackett tomorrow and even if we replaced him straight away he wouldn't have the necessary time to assess the squad (especially as we don't play again until after the transfer window has shut) and bring in any of his own players, if of course there is any of the Afobe money available.

I think we can go back to the discussion about football being a simple game too, I mean yesterday was a classic example that confidence is more important than tactics. Wolves conceed a goal in the 1st minute and then for the rest of the 1st half we just hoofed it forward to our midget up front. Did Jackett send them out to do that? I doubt it. But we scored a early goal in the 2nd half and the confidence improves, we then actually played some decent football and got McDonald, Edwards, RVLP and Henry supporting Le Fondre. Was that some tactical genius at half time? Of course not, we scored a lucky goal and it changed the game for us.

You can go back to the summer too, if we'd got a decent replacement for Sako and one or two more quality additions I think you'd have seen a totally different style of football as the rest of the players would have got a boost in confidence. But we did nothing, lost Dicko and started the season poorly. This time last year Jackett was getting praised for his style of football, we had dicko, sako and afobe and we scoring plenty of goals. Now we have none, people wonder why the football is poor.

We're both in agreement that irrespective of him being sacked (or not) the sad fact remains that a) who would come to a club like us under present circumstances, b) who will run the process on the new guy (the clowns), and c) what terms would the person be granted, financial and influence on transfers?

Sadly, the answers to all of these determine that Jackett is safe - he's a dead man walking though!

The fine lines in football are actually what puts me off the game with skill becoming an increasingly obsolete quality. You only have to look at Leicester leading the premiership to see what a simple game it is making a mockery of these so called tactical masterplans. That said I enjoy seeing a club like Leicester illustrate what a load of old b.ollocks people talk about such as the usual clichés of" different divisions in the premiership" with Wolves smashed every week "like poor old Leicester" which was said last season We can see all it takes is a bit of spirit coupled with some quality and a team has a chance to finish top of its respective division with the nerd brigade unable to comprehend real football isn't like football manager on the pc with skill scores being the principle factor in determining success on a computer but not real life.

Gary Neville with his multiple diagrams and fanciful graphs trying to convince people he knows the inner workings of some divine football blueprint on sky for years is now in charge of Valencia close to the sack with no wins in 7 league games. The sad pathetic truth is a local Spanish bistro owner could take over tomorrow knowing nothing about football and if he was popular with the players could improve results simply based on him being " a decent guy serving good grub" after the match. People don't want to accept a sport that they spend years watching in life is mainly a game of chance and motivation of players rather than this complicated game of chess the likes of Dan G build it up to be with multiple dossiers on players. The predictions of apparent experts from bookies are no different than the common man on the street with multiple articles detailing lengthy data of picks going back years showing these predictions no better than the average man. If it was a game of skill as people claim, there would be a edge somewhere to be gained and clearly there isn't.
