Well with only a few weeks until the new season is due to start it has been a while since the club bought in any new faces.
So do you think that the club needs to bring in some new faces? We currently still have Bobo Baldé on "trial" with the club, but until he can get fit then it looks like we will not be signing him. Personally speaking I would like us to sign him, he has played in the Champions League for Celtic (correct me if I am wrong) and so far in pre-season has looked like he can do a job as a squad player. We have also get ex Carlton Athletic winger Jerome Thomas on trial, who is due to play some part in tonights pre-season fixture against MK Dons. I have not seen much, if anything on Thomas so I cannot really pass comment.
I still think that we need to bring in another centre midfielder, a left back and perhaps another centre back on striker (on loan?) I know many fans want us to sign Michael Mancienne but I still think we won't get him, even though John Terry has confirmed that he will be staying at Chelsea.
Definately, at least three a defender, a central midfielder and a striker are needed, mancienne who we are meant to be getting would be the defender, alan smith or joe ledley the midfielder and ross mccormack the striker.
mancienne, butt or nolan, and smith would be huge additions,
BUT, i dont think wolves would pay the wages they would want!
i really hope mancienne comes off as hes still young and wants to play 1st team football !
nolan would be my preference but ive heard hes on 50k at newcastle AND we defo wouldnt pay that much, butt might be pursuaded to come for a last pay cheque and he would add the experience we need in the middle!
smith is too injury prone and you wouldnt get anywhere near a half decent season out of him why not give beckford a chance ?
