As the title says, there are 6 games to go 'till the end of the season, can Wolves make it to the Premiership?

Well having just gotten out of bed and checking my phone it seems that the demons are starting to try and prevent that with the news that Michael Kightly has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken Metatarsal and will undergo surgery today. While I hope that this is an April Fools joke, it seems that the rumours that Kightly left the training ground yesterday on crutches do seem confirmed.

Anyway after the International break Wolves continue their quest for Premiership football with a Monday night TV game away against Birmingham City. I am very optimistic about this game, as we have already won there once this season (all be it in the cup)  so why should we not be able to do it again? Even with the injury of Kightly we should be able to get a win or the worse case a point which then really puts us further in the Driving Seat to gain promotion and perhaps win the league.

I just hope that Marlon Harewood can grab a few goals or perhaps even the winner on Monday and that Ebanks-Blake recovers from his injury picked up with the England Under 21's. I know we have been in this position before, full of optimism and hope only for it to be thrown away at the last minute. I am sure it will not happen again, but I guess only time will tell.

I feel confident even with Kites out, our defence is at last looking solid so we should get sufficient wins and draws to see us through as champions even if we only manage to score a few.
Harewood will be trying hard to impress as he will want to join us next year, i am guessing he may notch a couple of goals with SEB 2 or 3 more maybe even one from midfield that should be enough to gather the points needed.

This was bound to happen as there seems to be some sort of law or curse against kightly and jarvis playing together.Still think we can do it. With Reid and Jarvis hopefully fit and Ward & Keogh that can fill a gap as back up i think we have enough wingers to do the job.

The games are getting tighter right through the championship table, so the improvement in our defence couldn't come at a better time - probably more significant than losing Kites in the overall scheme of things.

I see a few draws ahead including Monday's game, so I expect us to stagger rather than sprint over the finish line, but definitely in the top 2.
