WOLVES temporary manager Stuart Gray will have to decide on the future of Brazilian trialists Guilherme Finkler and Jeronimo Soares following the 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The two trailists, who have been with Wolves since the players returned from their summer breaks, will leave Molineux to pursue other avenues on Monday unless temporary boss Stuart Gray elects to sign one or both players on a full time contract.

Finker has been the star of the two trialists, scoring twice in the 4-0 win over Hednesford a week ago whilst Soares has been the less spectacular of the two despite a steady performance against Telford United on Tuesday night.

However it's not looking good for either of the midfielders after both were unused substitutes during the 1-0 defeat away to Burton Albion at a sun-kissed Pirelli Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Wolves went down to their first pre-season defeat of the summer following Clare's looping header on the hour. Even more worrying is the fact that Wolves how now gone 180 minutes without scoring a single goal against non-league opposition.

Gray opted to use a strong squad with Murray, McNamara, Cort and Rosa all starting. Polish International Thomasz Frankowski started on the bench and played the last 15 minutes, but the £1.3M Hoddle signing is still yet to open his account in Gold and Black.

A mini pitch-invasion by 20 or so travelling supporters provided the half time entertainment in a game which lacked quality in the final third for both sides despite the keepers at both ends being the busiest two players on the pitch.

Wolves will now play Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night before heading to Swansea City and Crewe Alexandra. Aston Villa play Wolves at Molineux for Steve Bull's 20th year testimonial before Wolves kick the season off away at Plymouth on the 5th August.
