Just a day ahead of the first shakedown tests, and the three days before the official launch of the RB3, Red Bull Racing announced a new partnership agreement with Swiss technology company, Oerlikon.
At their "Hangar-7" facility next to Salzburg Airport, Red Bull Racing today announced a new partnership with Swiss technology company Oerlikon.
Oerlikon is a globally leading company in the field of thin film, vacuum and precision technology. Based on these core competencies, Oerlikon develops production systems, components, and services for high-technology products. The company's commercial activities center on protective coatings for precision tools and components, production equipment and coating processes for solar modules, as well as production systems for data storage devices, systems for producing vacuums and conveying process gases, optical components, aerospace technology and outsourcing. Oerlikon also applies its core competencies as a major provider of semiconductor technology.
The company has over 6,000 employees and operates from 32 locations worldwide.
Present at the announcement were David Coulthard and Adrian Newey of Red Bull Racing and CEO of Oerlikon, Thomas P Limberger (pictured below).
