Friday practice for the 2022 Belgian GP would see the Williams Racing Team have a very mixed day across the sessions. The final session would see Alex Albon finish in 11th while for team-mate Nicholas Latifi he was down the order in 19th. But across both sessions the weather had, as in the case at Spa, played its part seeing the second session run under very mixed track conditions with rain having fallen. The team had brought updated parts for the low downforce Spa circuit.

Dave Robson, Head of Vehicle Performance: Alex and Nicky both coped well with the changing conditions today and were able to learn a lot about the car and the changes to the circuit. We expect the track to be a little different tomorrow as the weather returns to drier and warmer conditions, but much of what we discovered today should still be relevant." |
