The final practice session for the 2020 Bahrain GP would see the Williams Racing drivers finish in 16th and 20th. George Russell was again in front of team-mate Nicholas Latifi. Both drivers would complete an early long run on the soft tyre prior to moving onto their qualifying simulations. George was initially 10th after his run but would drop down the order to finish 16th. For Nicholas he was 15th but would drop to 20th. Qualifying is going to be interesting to see if a Willima scar can make it into Q2.

Racing Bahrain GP Saturday Practice
Team Summary:
On a dry track the final Saturday practice for the 2020 Bahrain GP would
commence. The first cars out would be the Haas cars with the Haas cars
pitting after one lap. The next driver out would be Raikkonen but there was
not a rush of drivers coming out as they waited to track conditions to
improve. A 1m:31.247 from Raikkonen with ten minutes of the session
completed. Both Williams drivers were out running on the soft tyre and with
forty minutes remaining more drivers would start to take to the track. Only
four drivers had yet to take to the track as the Williams drivers continued
to put in laps on the soft tyres. Giovinazzi was now quickest with a
1m:31.025 followed by Magnussen. But Albon was now quickest with a 1m:30.394
followed now by Norris and Leclerc.
Perez was now fastest with a 1m:30.159 with Gasly now second and Albon
third. Verstappen was now quickest with a 1m:29.617 now followed by Hamilton
and Perez. All the times were been set on the soft tyre. Both Williams
drivers had been on longer runs. Gasly was now fourth followed by Ocon,
Albon, Norris, Leclerc Ricciardo, and Bottas tenth. Verstappen would improve
his lap time with a 1m:29.600 to be 0.3 ahead of Hamilton. After the first
runs the track would clear leaving just a handful of drivers running with
twenty three minutes remaining. With twenty minutes remaining both Williams
drivers would return again on the soft tyre. Bottas would go quickest with a
1m:28.721 with only the Williams drivers and Hamilton running.
More drivers were start to come out for no doubt their qualifying
simulations. Hamilton would go quickest with a 1m:28.618 followed by Bottas
and Verstappen. Both Williams drivers had pitted after their runs currently
in 10th and 15th. Verstappen was able to return to the top of the times with
a 1m:28.355 with Albon was now fourth followed by Sainz, Gasly, Norris,
Kvyat, Stroll and Vettel tenth. Stroll and Perez were now 9th and tenth. The
session would come to an end with the Williams drivers in 16th and 20th.
Verstappen had remained fastest from Hamilton, Bottas, Albon, Sainz, Gasly,
Norris, Kvyat, Stroll and Perez tenth. Again the session continue to show
that the fight for Williams is between themselves Haas and Alfa Romeo.
Nicholas Latifi:
For Nicholas the team would have to overnight change the fuel system having
found a major issue. Nicholas was out early no doubt to make sure his car is
operating normally. He was running on the soft tyre. A 1m:31.752 from
Nicholas seeing him second dropping to third behind his team-mate. Nicholas
would pit after a eight lap run. He had now dropped to 13th but this would
soon become 18th. Nicholas would return again on the soft tyre. A 1m:30.917
from Nicholas would see him 15th. He would pit after a five lap run. As more
drivers set their times Nicholas would drop to 20th and slowest. But he
would return for an further run on the soft tyre but would not improve.
George Russell:
George would be running a new helmet design in appreciation for his one
million Instagram followers. George was also out on the soft tyre telling
his engineer that the DRS was now working into Turn Four. George would set a
1m:31.456 to be second. George would ay his car was quite oversteery into
Turn four and six. George would drop to 12th as the session progressed. This
would become 17th as he pitted after an eight lap run. George was also pout
for his second run with twenty minutes remaining. George would finish with a
1m:30.559 to be ninth. He would drop down to tenth pitting after a five lap
run. George would drop to 15th as others went quicker. With three minutes
remaining George would return again on the soft tyre. He was now in 16th as
he returned to his pit after just a single lap.
