Team Summary:
The second Friday practice session fro the 2019 Brazilian GP would be a difficult one with one car crashing very early in the session before it had even set a time while the other would struggle with the track conditions and would end up well off the pace.

Robert Kubica:
Robert's first run in the second Friday session would see him come out on the hard tyre but in what was a very unexpected moment he would be coming through the Senna esses and would lose control of his car in the right hand part of the series of turns. His car would snap and then turn instantly and would head across the grass and then into the barrier. His car would be extensively damaged and his session was ended without even having set a time. Replays would show Magnussen going across the kerb at the same point seeing a huge amount of spray but it would not be until a reasonable period of time had passed before Robert would come across the same point. You could see water coming from the front of his car so it may have contributed to the accident but later in the session several drivers would go across the same kerb without incident. Either way Robert's session was over.

George Russell:
George would also come out for his first run in the second Friday session but his first run would be on the medium tyre tyre. After a series of long runs on the medium he would switch to the soft tyre but would would struggle with understeer seeing him only set a best lap time of 1m:11.8 which was 1.1 seconds off the time of the car next in front of him. He would come on to his radio saying the understeer at Turn 13 was atrocious. A difficult session for George but it is hoped that with warmer conditions on Saturday he can find some time.
