Team Summary:
Ricciardo would be the first to set a time with a 1m:46.161 but Vettel would go ahead using the medium tyre to set a 1m:46.101 using the medium tyre. Magnussen and Grosjean wre third and fourth. Raikkonen would go quickest with a 1m:44.400 using the soft tyres. Ricciardo would go second but Vettel would move ahead to be behind his team-mate. After their first runs the Williams drivers were in ninth and tenth and dropping down the order. Gasly was now fourth followed by Ericsson, Magnussen, Grosjean and Leclerc now ninth. The Williams pair were now 13th and 14th splitting their strategy on tyres. Bottas would go second splitting the Ferrari drivers.

Using the medium tyre Hamilton would go quickest with a 1m:44.369. He was followed by Raikkonen, Bottas, Vettel, Verstappen and Ricciardo sixth. Drivers were starting to use the supersoft tyre for their second runs. On this tyre Raikkonen would go fastest with a 1m:43.355 while Hamilton would go second and Bottas third after their supersoft tyre runs. Vettel was now fourth followed by Verstappen, Sainz, Ericsson, Leclerc, Ricciardo, and Hulkenberg tenth. After their supersoft tyre runs the Williams drivers were 17th and 18th. The Williams drivers would drop to 18th and 19th in what was a further frustrating weekend for the team. Drivers were now on longer runs in the last half and hour of the session. There was a mix of tyres been used with all three types been used. The session would draw to a close with the top ten been Raikkonen from Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen, Vettel, Ricciardo, Perez, Sainz, Ericsson and Leclerc. The Williams team would remain in 18th and 19th a result that does not bode well for the rest of the weekend.

Lance Stroll:
Lance would follow his team-mate a short while later but he would come out on medium tyres. He would set a 1m:47.893 to be eighth right behind his team-mate. This would become tenth but he would drop down the order further to be 15th and he would also pit after a nine lap run. Lance would also return coming out on the supersoft tyre for his next run. lance would set a 1m:46.718 to be 14th dropping to 15th. He would continue to lap dropping to 19th.

Sergey Sirotkin:
Sergey would be out early for the session running on soft tyres. Sergey would set a 1mn:47.781 to be second dropping to fifth. This would become seventh then ninth. Sergey would pit after a nine lap run currently 14th. He would would for his second run using the supersoft tyre with an hour remaining. He was able to set a 1m:46.451 to now be ninth. Dropping to 11th he would pit after a short four lap run. In the pits he would drop to 17th. With just under forty minutes remaining Sergey would return for a further run using the used supersoft tyres. He would pit switching to the soft tyre for his next run currently 18th.
