The opening Friday practice session for the 2017 Singapore GP would see the Williams Martini team finish down the times with Felipe Massa 14th and Lance Stroll 17th. It was a mixed sesssion with Lance Stroll suffering issues with his car that saw him forced to pit early on in the session with a technical issue. For Felipe Massa his session would see him run updates on his car as he worked through the teams programme. He would not have any issues and was able to get thorugh the session. But it still remains a concern that both drivers were well down the order.
