Fernando Alonso, the new Renault F1 team's test driver, has been linked with a possible drive at Arrows especially if the current Frentzen/Verstappen saga ends with both drivers walking away. Renault F1 boss Flavio Briatorie has indicated that he is prepared to lend Alonso out to a rival team. The reasons for this move are a bit unclear, but it seems that Briatorie is keen to setup a Renault junior team which would act as a holding squad for new talent which could then be brought into the full F1 team when required. Talking to Autosport, Briatorie said, "If we get a good offer for him, we will lend him to another team to gain experience."
Autosport have linked Alonso with Arrows, because as yet it is the only unconfirmed seat left on the grid. Stories have started circulating that Frentzen's management are fed up with Arrows, and if Jos Verstappen decides that he's had enough too then there is a good possibility that this could happen.

In addition, there is always the possibility that Alonso could be called upon by OrangeArrows if one of their regular drivers is injured or unable to make a race. Be interesting to see whether the talented Alonso would be able to better Enrique Bernoldi in the same car wouldn't it ?
