The past two weeks have seen our boys draw with the Tigers and go down to a last gasp drop goal at Glaws. Let’s see how whether your team has fared better in the latest fantasy league table.

 

Last weekend we were allowed our international stars back during the week off from the six nations (lucky us!) but for the most part the last couple of weeks have seen our true club men turn out and do our team proud.

 THIS WEEK’S PERFORMANCE

Players of the week for round 16 were:
Not surprisingly after their 83-10 walloping of the Falcons, two Tigers players were the highest scoring players during week 16: Andy Goode (who appears to have justified his England call up – did I really write that?), scoring 34 points (a start, a win with over 40 points, 11C, and 2P), and Neil Back (the old war horse), 16 points (Start, Win,>40 points and 2T).  Week 15’s top scorers were Mark Van Gisbergen (15 pts; 1S, 2C, and 3P) and Corne Krige (9 pts; 1S and 1T).  Special mention must be made of Tom Voyce, who is only the second player in the pool to score a hat trick of tries this season – come back Voycey all is forgiven!

“The Pulteney All Blacks” and “Matt Jasper’s Army” both had a storming couple of weeks thanks largely to the kickers in their teams: Andy Goode, Shane Drahm, Henry Paul, Mark Van Gisbergen.  “Jacksmen” have continued their post-Christmas good form.

“Rucking Maulers” and “The Brawlers” (trips off the tongue nicely) both marched 7 places up the table to 20^th and 45^th respectively with “The Cherry Pickers” passing them on their way down.  Bazza has his backs notably Tom Voyce and Ollie Smith to his team’s performance, whereas Phil White’s pack did him proud to move his team in the right direction.

LEAGUE SUMMARY
In the top 5, “Dolly Mixtures” have dropped out at the expense of “Punters Gamble II”, “The Pulteney All Blacks” have leap frogged “Champagne Rugby”.  No change in the bottom 3.  “The Ramblin’ Men” are still roaming about at the top.  No change in the allegiance mini-league; it seems the league table as a whole is settling into its final form.
