So we've reached the half way mark in a better place than most of us expected.
11 out of 22 played, 3rd. And with more home games to come than away.
Yes, it's looking pretty rosy at the moment, although as always things are balanced on a knife edge, with only a handful of points covering the four teams with a realistic chance of joining Saints and Sarries in the playoffs.
To get to the playoffs we still need to improve a lot. Our SH players need a rest during Amlin and LV infested January. Some key player retention issues need to be clarified to keep the team spirit up. And we could do with a run of decent weather to let our backs show what they can do.
But it's still an optimistic feelimg going into the new year, with not even the mess of GG's leaving and the debate about whether the club is being completely honest about Biggs able to put a damper on things.
And in the other major battle - for top dog on SportNetwork - COML took the popularity crown in December with around 22,000 vistors, aided by the GG rumpus. Only 1 of them was Bri.
The Saints site has more page views, but fewer people and fewer page views on the forum - overall it's neck and neck.
