Match Report Writers Needed

By Susanne
August 18 2011

This season, as last, match reports are going to be done by contributors on ‘ere who are volunteering their writing talents.  This means we can spread the burden and make sure we keep new content going up (a prerequisite for keeping the discussion forum going).  Therefore, we need people to volunteer for this season’s matches.

I’ve put the matches until the end of the main season below. Now over to you lot – if we want reports we need you to volunteer to write them. Can you put something on this thread or PM me to volunteer and I’ll keep the list up to date.

It would be great if you can volunteer in advance if you see a space and know you will be there – otherwise I have to chase on a week by week basis.

And please don’t be put off if you’ve not done it before – all contributions are gratefully received and it is always great to get differing perspectives on the games. It’s no bad thing if more than one person volunteers for a report.

All you need to do is send something in by email and we’ll do the rest (i.e. the easy bit!) – we’ll give you that information nearer the time.

Just to add to this thread, come one, come all, if you post or if you lurk, if you enjoy ERE, please help contribute with a match report. If we don't get regular articles, we get shut down.

It doesn't have to be long, it doesn't have to be detailed, hell, it doesn't even have to be accurate! Frankly, three paragraphs of you just venting your excitement/frustration works as well, if not better, than 1000 words of intricate detail.

Reports driven from TV watching might be quick, but we don't care about that. This is a fan site for fans of Bath Rugby, we want your reflections, your enjoyments, your irritations about Bath Rugby. Go to the game on Saturday and write it up on Sunday. But write it up and keep ERE going!

So, who's up for it? You've got some exciting opportunities, sad small neighbours Bristol, money-bays Saracens, chopper Chiefs, 6-toed Glawster, bruddy barsteward Tiggers and then Twickenham whipping boy Wasps. The first group of Prem matches are a feast for a fan to enthuse about! If you can write a three paragraph post, you can write a three paragraph article, so please, support Bath, support ERE and do your bit!

Put me down for as many as you need Susanne, never a problem (Sm15)
I can do Sarries as a kick start. Shall I say Quins on Nov 5 as well, to get a few games covered? Or any home games at all really, I am always there!

There is a good chance that I won't be going to Dublin now I am afraid Susanne. I should be able to confirm in the next few days.

Thanks for the warning - anyone else want to volunteer? No bad thing if we end up with 2 reports.

Prompted by the Saints thread, its probably time I did my bit - unless anyone else really wants it, put me down for the Falcons game (simpleton instructions would be helpful).

A reminder might be a good call as well if that doesn't make work for the sake of it!

Thanks WestonDave - I'll put you down and send you a PM about what is involved.
