AS Montferrand coach Alain Hyardet has delayed the announcment of his starting team until Saturday morning in order to evaluate his fit players before the visit of Saracens to the Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin on Sunday at 2pm GMT. Available to Hyardet are many names familiar to Sarries players and fans alike. Former Leicester pairing Richard Cockerill and Pat Howard, French intertnationals Oliver Magne, Gerald Merceron and Aurelien Rougerie.

There is also a long list of Vulcans players injured and they will not take part in the Parker Pen Quarter Final first leg clash.

Among those are former Gloucester hooker Oliver Azam, ex-Northampton lock Olivier Brouzet and French internationals Sebastien Viars and Tony Marsh.

Sarries are due to announce their squad on Friday morning just before they depart for Clermont-Ferrand.
