Saracens have renewed their partnership with Kenwood by announcing that the electronics giant will be the club's headline sponsor for the 2003-04 Zurich Premiership season.
Based in Watford, Kenwood had their names on the famous black shirt in the heady days of the 1997-98 season when Saracens won their first major trophy, the Tetley Bitter Cup and have been appointed after Unibond withdrew their two-year commitment to the club at the end of last season.
Quoted on the official Saracens web site, Kenwood's Director of Communications Mike Atkins said: "This is very exciting news and we're delighted to be back in partnership with Saracens. Rugby Union in England and across Europe has grown significantly in profile since our last sponsorship campaign and with this being Rugby World Cup year too, there is an obvious appeal. Saracens remain one of Europe's leading rugby clubs and aligning with them creates a firm platform for the Kenwood brand."
Sarries CEO Mark Sinderberry added "It is excellent news to have Kenwood back on board. They have a really strong, global brand name, they are a local company and we have a great track record and history together. It's a good fit and a fantastic opportunity to work together again."
Sarries will have their shirts adorned with the Kenwood logo for the first time on Sunday when London Wasps visit Vicarage Road.
