I've not seen this advertised, as yet, and for those reading who are already [should that be 'still'? ;) ] season ticket holders, this may be less appealing than any discount or multibuy opportunity to which you may have access.

It is possible to buy Wembley tickets for the Leicester Tigers game, at face value, and the club will contribute to Diabetes UK at the same time. The club will give £5 for each adult ticket, and £2 for each U16.

The link you need to click is www.saracensatwembley.com/groups. Having selected the numbers of tickets in each category you need to complete the third box with the 'secret squirrel' code. Emma, of Diabetes UK, has said that users of this site can use the code. It is 'DIABETESUK', case sensitive, without the quotes and with no space.

News of this made me feel good. I know some people have been critical of the club's management, and one prominent fan has severed all ties with the club, but no-one can fault their generosity in this instance.

I will be inviting Emma to register with this site, so she can monitor take-up, or at least site hits. In the unlikely event of anyone having difficulties (Shirley not!!), she might even read any feedback that you provide to the tail of this piece and help you out. Don't bother PMing me, I know nothing!

I think this is a great initiative, but have to rain on your parade a little.

This system of ordering tickets and a donation going to a specific organisation is obviously open to others - so far I have seen it for my son's rugby club and the Berkhamstead Hospice.

Anyway, nice to see some support for those who need it.

Yes, there's a 'Schools & Groups' section on the ticketing website. The Group or School have to reach agreement with the club, which then issues the password for that group.

Emma had the get-up-and-go to try to push her group through Sportnetwork. I replied that I'd do what I can, within the parameters set by her 'contact' at the club.

It's a long time since Sports network paid anything!
