Narbonne outside half Cedric Rosalen kept his position at the top of the Top 14 scoring charts with a personal haul of 32 points as Narbonne beat Montauban 37-34 at Parc des Sports et de l'Amitié. Rosalen has now topped the 200 mark in just 14 games after booting no fewer than TEN penalties and converting former Toulouse and France no8 Christian Labit's first half try.

The match was a close affair throughout with the visitors, who fielded a side without former Saracen Denis Cech, scoring two tries through wing Adrien Figueiredo and centre Jean Philippe Viard. Romanian international scrum half Petre Mitu kicked an early drop goal and outside half and captain Sebasiten Faque dropped a goal, kicked one conversion and also five penalty goals.

This result lifts RCNM up to eighth place in the Top 14 table on 29 points from their 14 games; 6 ahead of Brive in the first relegation spot and three behind Montauban in seventh.

Next week Narbonne travel to the Basque country to take on Biarritz at Parc des Sports Aguilera hoping to repeat their surprise 25-18 win in Round 2 over the double French champions and Heineken Cup favourites.
