Saracens cruise to victory over Sanix in the first of two pre-season games to be played in Japan. The Men in Black beat their hosts 66-17. "We gave a fairly sound performance and it was a good game for most of our players. We were exposed at times in defence, but that's rugby for you. Sanix did well too, and kept us thinking and on our toes." said coach Wayne Shelford after the match.

"We've now got to step it up for Suntory by another 25/30% to get ourselves ready for Premiership football in England." he concluded.

The Saracens tries were scored by Tom Shaklin (2), Tony Roques (2), Richard Hughton (2), Ben Johnston, Darragh O'Mahony and Kevin Sorrell

All nine were converted, four by Andy Goode and the remaining five plus a penalty goal were kicked by Adryan Winnan.

Sarries transfer to their Tokyo base on Tuesday to prepare for their game against Suntory in the National Stadium on Sunday. A crowd of around 30,000 is expected to turn up to watch the tourists take on the Japanese champions.
