Time to make amends.

Influential.

This weekend, after a short break, the Championship resumes. With only seven games in the regular season remaining it is increasingly important for the potential contenders to win their home games. For Leeds it is a chance to get revenge on London Scottish and make amends for an abject performance at Richmond earlier in the season.....

The Exiles enjoyed a great run into the top four but  have suffered two defeats in their last three games. They have already exceeded my expectations this season and  also have the second best defence in the division. After a relatively easy run of games in February March starts with a stern test for Leeds.

The penalty count against us is still too high. Our backs are in rampant form but need good ball from the pack to make use of it. Last time against the Exiles our eight were decidedly second best. This time out they must do better.

The club has been busy behind the scenes securing quality additions to the squad as we approach the business end of the season. John Bentley has joined on loan from Gloucester. He will be a prize asset if he regains the pre-injury form that made him the best 10 in the Championship. It might also give J-Lo the best kind of selection problem as we now have a decent squad with competition for every place. He will know the make-up of his best team. I expect his selection will only vary when players get injured.

March starts at Headingley and ends in Nottingham. Between those fixtures we have a trip to Jersey and the visit of Bristol. I am sure that the team will only be looking as far as the next game and what they need to do to win it. I can see a win for Leeds by 10 points without a bonus point.

See you on Sunday.

It certainly could have been a lot worse against LS away, WW. And the performance came as a surprise as if the opener against Notts was not a blip. But since then things have changed. We are strong favourites and the team need to step out happy to have expectations loaded on to them. This is the run-in now and LS will be looking to put themselves back in the frame. It's going to be a hard scrap and a good test of where we're at. (Sm134)I'm looking for a bonus point win.

Yep,

A five pointer with no lbp for Scottish would give us a 14 point cushion over them in fifth. Barring catastrophes, home and dry.

Come on Leeds

I'm startinag to feel 'nervously optimistic'!...but realise thats a dangerous path to tread?......I couldn't make last game....but we will certainly know after Sunday if we really are 'becoming' a top notch side...or if a 'struggling Mosley' flattered us a wee bit?

And it's all in all a very tasty weekend, what with Roth v Bris. And on telly too.

Leeds by a bit, but not too squeaky bum type of bit.

Should be a tasty game.

Scottish have done well this season but to me that was no surprise. They have ambition, sadly for them, it will not materialize this season. Next year they will be stronger and probably Premiership contenders. However, On Sunday second best to Leeds by 8 points.

Make no mistake this game will be seen by LS as make or break. We will have to really be up for this from the Kick-off. Hope Leeds were watching the Bath v Sarries game yesterday where Bath played all the rugby but Sarries scored all the points. Valuable lesson there

Too true TT. A cracking game and a lesson on how to take your opportunities.

Hope we take out oppotunities in the first half...could turn into a slippery dog fight in the second with heavy rain forecast. Agree with TT...they will be pumped up for this one....make or break for them? We need an 80 min focused performance..

Yeah.... will take that one...LS a good side.....but wish we were a bit more clinical with the opportunities we had...but huge 20 min defence in seconsd half that at times looked almost certain for a penalty try...Great Escape...could have turned the game!well done Leeds!!!...er... or do I mean YC!!
