Jason Robinson has been named Zurich Premiership Player of the Year and Charlie Hodgson was runner up in the Young Player of the Year category. And the Premiership's top try scorer this year was Mark Cueto. It's disappointing that Charlie didn't win the Young Player award but let's not be greedy! He lost out to Leicester flanker Lewis Moody. Jim Mallinder and Steve Diamond were not crowned coaches of the year despite turning Sale's fortunes around and winning second place in the Premiership after finishing ninth last season.

But Mark Cueto was full of praise for the coaches in an interview on Sportinglife.com:

"There has been a big change in personnel over the past 12 months. Jim and Steve have come in and their roots are firmly established at Sale.

"They have provided the passion for everyone to do well and the players have masses of respect for them."
