Sebastian Bruno was born 26 August 1974 in Nimes and is already a Sale Legend. He started his career with Beziers in 1997 before moving to Pau for two seasons in 1999. He rejoined Beziers in 2001 before signing for Sale Sharks in 2004. He made his debut against Leicester Tigers on 5th September 2004 and went on to make 100 appearances, 29 from the bench, scoring 7 tries and receiving 6 yellow cards in 5 seasons. He made his debut for France against Wales in 2002 but had dropped off the international radar. With his strong performances for Sale under PSA he caught the eye of the selectors and went on to represent France in the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France and won the Six Nations on three occasions as well as representing the Barbarians on 6 occasions. He moved to Toulon in 2010 with PSA where he still plays today. Outside of playing he has started his own sports nutrition company on his return to France, UHS that sells his products Bruno Performance Rugby Pro. If you could bottle what Bruno had whilst playing for Sale, it might be worth investing a few Euros…

Andy James Titterrell was born 10th January 1981 in Dartford and started playing rugby union at the age of seven at Sevenoaks School (the oldest lay school in the UK). He had spells with Saracens and Waterloo before joining Sale in 2001. His first game for Sale was against French club Auch on 13th January 2001 and he went on to play a total of 161 games, 57 off the bench, scoring 11 tries and receiving 2 yellow cards over 8 seasons. Andy was capped by England at schoolboy and U21 level. He caught the eye of Clive Woodward with a dynamic display on his first start for England A against Scotland A in March 2002 and in 2003 was involved in the Churchill Cup success in Canada. He won a place in the England Elite Player Squad for 2003. In 2005 Titterrell was a surprise selection for the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand ahead of more experienced players. In the 2005-06 Guinness Premiership, Andy played every game for Sale Sharks and only missed 1 game during the whole season, which was against the Llanelli Scarlets in the Powergen Cup. Another interesting fact…Andy has featured in all three silver winning teams, Challenge Cup 2002 (bench) and 2005 (flanker) and 2006 Guinness Premiership (hooker).

Neil Briggs was born 1 June 1985 in Germany and attended Meadowhead Secondary School, Sheffield. He started his playing career at Rotherham Titans and joined Sale in 2005. He made his debut on 11th September 2005 against Worcester Warriors. Briggsy went on to play 100 times, 38 from the bench, scoring 5 tries and receiving 1 yellow and one red card. In 2009 he made his international debut for England Saxons in the Churchill Cup. After James Gaskell was injured in October 2010, Briggsy was appointed Sale's captain for the remainder of the season before he fell victim to the ‘captain's curse’ a few weeks later, injuring his shoulder, which kept him on the sidelines for 4 months. He signed a year extension to his contract in 2011 to keep him at Sale until the end of the 2012 season but then asked to be released to join French Pro2 side Bourgoin where he still plays alongside ex Sale player Elvis Seveal’i. His bio on the official Bourgoin site says ‘Hooker arrived at CBSJ as a medical joker’.

Geraint Marc Jones was born 3rd April 1987 in Pontypridd and came through the Sale Jets making his first team debut against Northampton Saints on 6th May 2006. He is still at the beginning of his career and has already played 84 games, 25 from the bench scoring 2 tries and receiving one yellow card. He has played the bulk of those games in the last two seasons and in 2012 signed an extension to his contract to keep him at Sale until the end of 2013. He has also represented Wales at ever age group and if he is to follow his international dream it could mean him leaving Sale to play in Wales. As he is only a young man in the early stages of his career, there is not much else to say besides his Mum and Dad run an extremely good fish and chip shop, although he may be an EQP, but don’t mention this to Marc or his family!
