Bristol suffered their second consecutive loss against Penzance. All three games they have lost this season are against teams from the South West; and with games against Exeter at home, and Plymouth away, still to go the season is wide open. New Page 1

In a scrappy match Penzance took their chances better, opening the scoring on

five minutes after Mark Woodrow had missed an earlier penalty and gaining

another try with a charge down of a Ross Blake box kick from Gerald Arasa

on the Bristol 10 yard line who collected the ball and raced away to score.

There were yellow cards for Bristol with Ed Pearce off on 18 minutes and for

Penzance with Tom Barlow off on the forty second minute of the first half.

Heading into the end Bristol only had two penalties to show for their efforts,

both coming in the first half, and the two Penzance tries coupled with Barlow's

conversion of Arasa's try together with two long range penalties from Barlow's

replacement, Welshman Lee Jarvis, on seventy nine and eighty two minutes

looked like denying Bristol not only victory, but a bonus point as well.
