Warriors Vs Bedford - 2nd against 3rd

This is it.

The moment every supporter, every player, every person connected to Worcester Warriors has been waiting for.

Not just another match. Not just another Saturday. This is the kind of occasion that lives long in the memory — the kind that defines seasons, defines teams, and defines what it truly means to be a Warrior.

Bedford come to Sixways sitting third in the league, a side full of confidence and quality. Earlier this season at Goldington Road, they got the better of us. They took their chances, they made it count, and they walked away with the result.

But that was then.

This is now.

Because what has grown since that day is something far more powerful than a single result — it’s belief. It’s resilience. It’s a team that has refused to stand still, that has fought, adapted, improved, and risen to every challenge thrown its way.

Worcester Warriors are not the same side that walked off that pitch earlier in the season.

This is a team forged through hard work. Through grit. Through pride. A team that has built momentum, built confidence, and built a bond with its supporters that cannot be measured — only felt.

And now, everything is on the line.

A home semi-final is within touching distance. Alongside league leaders Ealing, there is a place to be claimed — a statement to be made — a season to be taken by the throat and owned.

But moments like this are never given.

They are earned.

Earned in every collision!
Every tackle!
Every carry!
Every decision!
Every second!

And they are powered by something more.

**** "You!!!" ****

****** "The supporters" ******

Sixways must not just be full — it must be alive. It must be relentless. It must be a wall of noise, passion, and unwavering belief that crashes down on Bedford from the very first whistle to the very last.

This is your team.

They will give everything — every ounce of energy, every drop of sweat, every bit of heart. But when legs tire and lungs burn, it is your voice that lifts them. It is your roar that drives them forward. It is your belief that makes the difference.

So bring it.

Bring the noise that shakes the stands.
Bring the passion that fuels the fight.
Bring the pride that comes with wearing these colours.

Stand. Shout. Sing. Roar.

Make Sixways a fortress they cannot break.

Because this is bigger than rugby.

This is about pride.
This is about redemption.
This is about rising when it matters most.

And when the final whistle blows, let it be said that Sixways was not just a stadium — it was the heartbeat of something unstoppable.

And then, we don’t stop.

Because Saturday 2 May 26 brings the next challenge: Ealing — the runaway, unbeaten league leaders. A side that has swept through the season with confidence and flair, who will arrive at Sixways expecting to dominate. But they will find more than a team. They will find a stadium alive with noise, passion, and unbreakable belief.

More support. More energy. More heart. Every cheer, every chant, every roar will push Worcester forward, fuel the fight, and make the impossible possible.

This is our time.
This is our moment.
Let’s take it — and then,

LET'S TAKE THE NEXT!!!.

Thank you Worcester for making this Blue very welcome at today's match. You have a really friendly club. It was a very well contested game today, both teams playing their part. We came away with the win, but had Worcester's handling been more accurate, it could have been a different result. Good luck in your remaining matches. It's a tough run in with Chinnor, Ealing and Coventry to face, but bring the intensity from today and tidy up the accuracy and today's result will be but a memory.

Worcester were diabolical, not sure handling alone would have improved today’s result

Thank you about Challenger that makes sense.

Good luck for the reminader of the season and we may meet once more. I am also sure next season you will come back stronger. Putting together a squad from scratch, not matter who you sign, is always going to be tricky.

Garside played under Day, so Day knows his game and could try and exploit his weaknesses when he came on and didn’t get a chance to show those fast side strepping feet of his.

It takes time to build a squad and the heat of battle to build a team. Because of Worcester's history, there is a heavy weight of expectation on the squad which will take time to meld. Against Bedford, Worcester met a squad that have been playing together for some while.

Worcester's scrum worked better than it did at GR in December. It might even be argued that Bedford possibly got away with couple in the early exchanges. It was only in the second half and particularly in the final 20 that Bedford scrum was truly on top.

I don't have a stopwatch, but I feel Worcester had better territory and better possession. The threat they posed was indicated by Bedford's penalty count that resulted in the warning from the referee. A yellow at that point would have changed the game. A stiff word from Day meant we avoided that peril.

The intercept try settled Bedford and possibly spooked Worcester. As at GR, Worcester were chasing the game and Bedford managed the game well.

Worcester are still in the running. Mathematically they can still be out of the top four but they would have to be very bad over three games and other results would have to go against them. That is unlikely so I expect Worcester to progress.
Good luck, keep the faith (unless you're playing Bedford, obs).
