A call for the supporters at our biggest test for a while tomorrow
TOMORROW
This is BIG! This is HUGE!! This is MASSIVE !!!
Saints v Saracens in the Premiership Final. Oh yes, tasty, delicious, mouth watering, nerve wracking.
We’ve been vying with the Fez Heads all season long for the top spot and now we are here.
Joined in Battle.
In the Final.
At Twickenham!
We teased the Tigers for 78 minutes in the semi, before slicing their little stripey paws off and delivering the Coup de Grace.
We can go one step further on Saturday and collect the Coup d’Aviva if we keep the Saracens in their box and not let them out. Do a Toulon on them, hit them hard from the kick off, drive them back downfield, not let them back up, hit hard anything that even remotely smells of camel or biltong.
If we keep ice cool heads but raging hearts.
If we want.
If we believe.
Boys, this is for the town.
For your club.
For your fans.
For your Mums and Dads and mini rugby coaches and for the guys who gave you time and training at Under 16 level and got you on the right path and for the Academy coaches and for the warriors on your islands whose heritage you honour with every touch of the ball, every run, every thundering, dominating tackle.
Boys, this is, above all, for you.
For your hard work.
For your team mates.
For your mates out there on the pitch.
For all your hopes and aspirations and dreams which you can fulfil tomorrow.
Tomorrow is your chance to win a Final.
The Final.
The FInal that the whole season has been heading for. Your destiny
Grasp that chance to be great, to be famous, to be our heroes.
Do it for Leon. Do it for the fans. Do it for every single man, woman and child who is proud that Northampton Saints represent our town. Do it for the generations of supporters who get goosebumps everytime they walk into Franklin's Gardens. Do it for the old bloke who has been coming to support for more years than you've been alive. Do it for the young kids who see you as heroes, gladiators, warriors on the pitch.
But most of all, do it for each other. Every Saintsman who has put the shirt on this season has contributed to an amazing campaign. Now bring it home.
