So the start of the Heineken cup rolled around and Saints are in a very tough group with last years finalists Ulster, well known friends from across the channel in Castres and the team from that hotbed of rugby - Glasgow. When the draw was made many would have chosen Glasgow as probably the weakest team but they had made a good start to their season. Not quite as good as Ulster mind but still very good. But how would they fare at the Gardens?

Not quite the start that Jim, C Block and the rest of the gardens were hoping for as Glasgow romped into a 15 point lead and looked good value for it.
Saints did pull it round in a large part due to the three players above who all stood tall in their position.
Well done to Big Sam. He really is a great finding and l hope he stays with us for a very long time.

So Big Sam takes a step forward with his second win of the season. Well done that man.

Seven games into the season and a third of the team have started every game.

My thanks to everyone who voted - Please remember to vote for thwe Castres away game as I am sure a lot of you out there watched it on tv.

One for the fat boys and they are not letting the fancy dans get away despite the harder running tracks we are currently playing on.
