Bedford played Nottingham on Saturday in the last game of their regular league season before the play-offs. They won easily and finished second in the league. Now for the real league competition...
Of course, even if they win, they won't be promoted (Goldington Road not fit for Premiership rugby), and Newcastle/Wasps must be hoping anyone apart from Bristol or Leeds will win.
Apart from watching 10 tries, one of the delights was watching old Saints: Ian Vass at centre, Alex Rae (Captain), Paul Tupai (nearly 40 years old, is Toops!) and James Pritchard (great kicking). But the player I forgot about was our erstwhile No. 7, Darren Fox, who has joined Blues from the ailing Cambridge.
He was very much in his bustling and bruising trademark form and made his mark on a few players.

Pause in play while Foxy’s latest target gets treatment.

Nothing to do with me, says Foxy.

“Neanderthal pose”… Who’s next?
