The dream is over. Impala dumped Quins out of the prestigious 75 year old Enterprise Knockout Cup. Quins began the match strongly with captain Ed Kinyany back from injury putting the boys 5 - 0 ahead. That was as far as we went. The hosts hit back and by the breather they were 15 - 5 ahead. Pep talk at half time saw the Quin come out fighting strongly and the score was narrowed to 12 -15. At this point the faithful were sure we would overhaul Impala and race into the final. Alas we ran out of gas and Impala extended their lead to 29-12 before a consolation try by Quins made the final score 29-19. Two consecutive defeats against the red shirts were really painful. Back to the drawing board for next year.

The league comes to an end for us this coming weekend as we play KCB. The whole irony is if we win the game we hand over the crown to our bitterest rivals Impala and we finish runners up. We lose then KCB are still in the hunt and we finish third. What a dilemma!

Our seconds are in Mombasa this weekend defending a 13-10 lead from the first leg ESS Semi. We wish them all the best as they have produced some brilliant rugby this season and already have one trophy the Chairman's Cup in the cabinet. Good Luck boys. show the seniors how its done.

Focus from next month will be the Sevens season and we hope and pray our fortunes turn for the better.
