Quins played their part in a thoroughly entertaining encounter at Ashton Gate but the momentum was with the team which needed the win to finish in the play-offs.
Bristol duly won 52-26, however they had to work for the victory. They secured their try bonus point in the first half but Cadan Murley was in fine from and crossed twice to keep his side in the game
Quins then went within a try of the hosts with Alex Dombrandt and George Hammond crossing. That spurred the hosts into actuion with Santiago Grondona and Gabriel Ibitoye effectively settling the game before Benhard Janse van Rensburg brought proceedings to an end - for Quins at least.
