Toulouse Too Powerful

Quins were never favourites to win in Toulouse but they gave their illustrious and expensive hosts a fright in the second half as they came back from a 31-12 half time deficit.

In the end the energy at the breakdown together with clinical handling earned Toulouse a 38-26 victory and a final against Leinster next weekend.

Roared on by a massive crowd the French champs were unstoppable at times in the first half as they scored five tries throigh Matthis Lebel, Peato Mauvaka, Thibaud Flament and a couple from that man Antoine Dupont.

Marcus Smith and Will Evans showed what Quins could do but in reality that 19 point half-time deficit was a mountain too steep.

Quins had their custom ary good go at fighting back with Cadan Murley and Tyrone Green quietening the crowd as they got their side within five points.

Could Quins produce a winning grandstand finish yet again?

Sadly not. Jack Walker was binned after he clashed heads with Dupont when he was  reckless at the breakdown. No argument - it might have been a red.

Toulouse took immediate advantage with Ntamack sending  Juan Cruz Mallia in at the cortner to sesal the game..

Heads held high.
