Quins finally made it a knockout win as a late Sam Riley try finally snuffed out a tremendous challenge from Glasgow Warriors - 28-24..

The quarter-finals of the Investec Champions Cup now await with a home  tie in the offing if Sarries win away in Bordeaux.

Andre Esterhuizen scores their side’s first try of the game during the Investec Champions Cup Round of 16

It wasn't easy against a side fielding a host of Scotland internationals. Scott Cummings scored first for the visitors before Quins came roaring back with tries from Andre Esterhuizen (right) , Marcus Smith and Cadan Murley to give Quins a 21-7 lead at the break

However,  the second halkf was a different story with hooker Johnny Matthews and George Horne rossing and with two conversions from Horne plus a penalty Glasgow where 24-21 up as the clock ticked down.

Quins came back and with a kickable penalty on offer the dilemma was whether to equal the socres or go for broke with a play. The latter option was taken and it worked with Riley finishing off the driving maul.

Phew.
