Quins are up and running in Pool A of the European Championship after a tense 14-10 victory over a Racing '92 side which was down to 14 men for the final quarter.

The win puts Quins sixth in the 12 team pool courtesy of a try from George Head afte just two minutes. The hooker finished in style from the 22 with Tommy Allan adding the extras.

Great start but Racing weren't in a mood to capitulate. Finn Russell notched a penalty before No 8 Kamikamica crashed over and Russell giving his side a three point lead at the break.

The Racing players' red card for a dangerous tackle on Nick David came after Andre Esterhuizen had restored the home lead. The ref had ruled "no try" but the TMO disagreed with Allan again converting.

Tense stuff at the end as Quins failed to add to their score to keep Racing within one score.
