Last Minute Win

Winning Try

Quins are back to their old dramatic selves. A dramatic finish  saw them pip Lonodn Irish 26-24 in injury time courtesy of a slightly controversial try from George Head.

It came deep into stoppage time with Irish claiming that Bernard Janse van Rensburg was tackled in the air by Charlie Matthews in the build up. That was ruled out by the officials.

It ended a pulsating game with Irish ahead for much of the game until that final score. In the first half So'otala Fa'aso'o and Ben Donnell's tries put them 14-0 ahead at the break.

Quins fought back with Tommy Allan reducing the arrears and the cause was helped when  Donnell was sent off for a shoulder charge on Joe Marler. However, Irish went further ahead through Hassell-Collins going over in the left corner,

Back came Quins with close-range tries from Alex Dombrandt and Tommy Allan. The scores were level only for  Nick David to get a red card for a high tackle on Luca Morisi.

Irish went ahead again thanks to a Paddy Jackson penalty with ten minutes left only to be put on the back foot by that late Quins rally.

Quins up to third.
