Quins can have no argument with the 21-17 defeat at struggling Bath - the home side bolstered by Nathan Hughes fully deserved the win and celebrated as though they'd won the Championship itself.
It was close throughout but you always felt that the extra desire would sneak the game for the home side.
Dino Lamb scored first for Quins (left) as we started strongly, but two Ben Spencer penalties kept it tight. Cadan Murley's gave us a half time advantage only for Bath to take a second half lead as Will Muir scored twice.
As usual we were in for a dramatic finish after George Hammond's try took the score to 18-17 and regular viewers of the Quins soap opera would have expected another 80th minute winner.
However, a different script wrtiter this week opted to give the encore to Bath courtesy of a long range penalty from Spencer.
