Your Support is requested for the Quinssa 2013 Christmas Appeal in aid of Shooting Star CHASE

Quinssa are delighted to announce that this year we are again supporting Shooting Star CHASE in our 2013 Christmas Appeal.

For those of you not familiar with Shooting Star CHASE (Registered Charity No. 1042495) they are a children's hospice service, supporting families throughout 38 boroughs in western London, Surrey and West Sussex with a child or teenager with a life limiting condition. They are currently caring for over 450 life limited children, and there are likely to be an additional 300+ siblings who will also need some goodwill this Christmas.

Their aim is to make every day count for local families with a child or teenager not expected to reach their 19th birthday. Families receive their support free of charge, 365 days a year in their own homes and communities and at their children's hospices: Christopher's in Guildford and Shooting Star House in Hampton. With no guaranteed Government funding they have to raise around £23,000 a day to continue their vital service.

This year Quinssa are once again looking to provide Christmas presents for as many of the children and siblings as possible - ideally all of them! These will be given to the children by Father Christmas at their Christmas parties which Quins’ Players also normally attend.

What and Where to donate
Below is a wish list of gifts broken down by age group. They are always in need of gifts for teenagers which is why vouchers, DVDs and make up sets are always popular.

Gift donations can be made at the Quinssa stand before each of the following matches:

Quins v Scarlets – Saturday, 12th October
Quins v Sale – Saturday, 26th October
Quins v Sale – Friday, 15th November
Quins v Gloucester – Saturday, 23rd November

As the SSC staff will need to sort the gifts by age and ability before assigning them to a specific child, PLEASE DO NOT WRAP YOUR DONATIONS - if they can be provided in a gift bag that would be ideal.

In the past our Members have been extremely generous in supporting this Appeal and I can honestly say that having witnessed first hand the happiness these presents bring to these very special kids, and their amazing families, it really would make a huge difference if you could add one extra person to your Christmas present list this year.

Thanks in advance for your support
Emma
