Tonight's A League Match will now be held at The Stoop not at Old Deer Park.
The floodlights at Old Deer Park have failed so the A League match tonight will be at The Stoop

Rats! I was looking forward to visiting a "real" rugby club. In the same way looking forward to visiting Irish at The Avenue in a couple of weeks.
I hope the club have had enough warning to open the bar! Unless they had more notice than us, I doubt catering will be there!
It's a long time since we played there apart from a U19 match in the cup a few years back, they changed the ND1 game to The Stoop too
I wish I had known that. I would have gone whereas ODP was that more difficult to get to.

That was just too little notice so gutted! ODP was not possible but Stoop just.
It seems London Welsh owe a debt of gratitude to Harlequins, not so much for another thrashing, but for sparing us a possible fine from the RFU had we had to cancel the match on account of insufficiently tall temporary floodlights. If free beer was indeed thrown in, we are doubly in Quins' debt. I am sure ODP will be happy to host a Quins home game once the support is scaled to fit the ODP capacity.

Lovely chap at the ODP handing out A4 sheets telling of the change of venue. Reminded me of the spirit of the volunteers(sp) at the Olympics.
Managed to offer a lift to one person, although thinking about it I should have stayed for five minutes longer for any more arriving on foot as it was only me in the car.

I think you may find our stewards are paid, unlike Olympic volunteers.
And there, Babs, was me thinking Quins were acting altruistically in the best rugby spirit. But no, it's business, just business! Maybe the Christmas Post Fairy will mislay the bill in the post.

As to the first part of your post, he was friendly and understanding despite it being an umbuggerance for the change of venue to me, so the term SPIRIT. It also should be understood and it was with that SPIRIT of the rugby fraternity that made me say I wish I could have been of further assistance (I don't care to whom they supported) to others.

Quins hosted the game at very short notice and to make sure it went ahead. If my info is correct, in doing so they saved LW from a hefty fine (and probably a reprimand from PRL/RFU etc). If that's not in the spirit of the game I don't know what is!
