When the Craic Supporter of the Season nomination committee set about drawing up a shortlist of people to put to the vote, Marie's name was at or near the top of all of our lists.

Marie has contributed so much to our club in general and it's supporters in particular that it becomes difficult to list all she has done.

She is a born organiser. This talent she brings to our club in no uncertain terms. Be it drums to an away game, food and booze for a car park party, balloons in the stand for one of our big party days or whatever, you can be sure that Marie is at the heart of things. She variously asks, cajoles and bullies both people and the club into doing things. In short, she makes things happen.

There are some in and around our club who can find Marie's approach too forthright and criticise her for it. As this award reflects, they are a minority. Most of us know that this club and its supporters are very much richer having Marie with us. When you get to know the Marie that is behind that tough exterior you learn that she is a sensitive, intelligent and caring person.

A fun loving person, I believe Marie is at her happiest when she is surrounded by people who are enjoying themselves. She thus devotes enormous time and energy to ensuring that those in and around her do just that. Within our big family, it can safely be said that Marie is the ultimate party animal.

Marie, on behalf of your fellow supporters, a very big thank you for everything you have done and continue doing for us. You are a very special person in a very special family.

To all the other nominees, again, a very big thank you. As with Marie, you are a credit to our wonderful club.
